November 2025 - Lower Sycamore, 4 Peaks & Sugar Loaf OHV Areas - Cleanup Project

Our Dedicated Restoration Team removed 4,380 pounds (2.19 tons) of trash, 1 tire, & 274 square feet of graffiti from Lower Sycamore, Four Peaks, & Sugar Loaf OHV Areas on the Tonto National Forest. We also put out an abandoned fire! Thank you to everyone at the US Forest Service Tonto National Forest for their support of this project!

We frequently come across abandoned fires, like this one, that were not properly extinguished. Please ensure your fire is completely out before leaving it unattended!

Look Closely at these photos to see the disgusting amount of trash carelessly left at Lower Sycamore. This is down in the main wash and the entire area is covered in beer cans and scattered party trash. It’s disturbing how so many people can come to this beautiful area and abuse it like this & then just walk away.

We come across a lot of strange desert trash!

Sometimes we cannot access a graffiti removal site with our truck and we have to hike our equipment and water to the project site. We are grateful for everyone on our Dedicated Restoration Team!

Do you see the graffiti in the center of the photo? Someone painted a bullseye on a boulder.
