12th Annual Environmental Stewardship Event

with Footprints Matter to Us

Queen Valley / Hewitt Station OHV Area

Natural Restorations teamed up with Footprints Matter to Us again for the 12th Annual Environmental Stewardship Event with Footprints Matter to Us at Hewitt Station OHV Area in Queen Valley on Saturday, February 13, 2021. The event is usually the 3rd Saturday in January but we had to make some adjustments this year. We hosted two separate events, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

74 volunteers, including 17 youth volunteers, came out to remove trash illegally dumped or left behind by people recreating in the area, including irresponsible target shooters.

Volunteers helped us remove 13,340 pounds of trash, that’s 6.67 tons of trash no longer littering this area! We also removed and recycled 4 tires. All of the event photos are below.
