Volunteer Opportunities

Would you like to volunteer and help cleanup and restore areas? Natural Restorations hosts volunteer events throughout the year. Check our Events Calendar for the next volunteer event in your area or click HERE to register for a cleanup and/or join our volunteer email list.

Many schools require volunteer hours each semester and what better way to do that by getting outside and making an immediate, visible impact on our natural areas.

If you are a student, parent, or teacher & would like to discuss future projects, please contact us.

We also work with scout groups and various clubs. We can accommodate small and large groups.

Natural Restorations always has opportunities for individuals, families, groups and organizations to participate.

Here are a few comments from volunteers:

"The cleanup was a great opportunity to give back a little to the trail that gives me so much pleasure!  The event was well organized with plenty of tools, snacks and support.  It was wonderful to see the immediate affect of our efforts."                                                      Sandy Fortner, Volunteer

“I never thought I would be thanking someone for allowing me to pick up trash in the woods. Hands down one of the most fulfilling experiences I have ever had!”                                                      Rick Ketcherside, Volunteer

"It was a pleasure working as a volunteer with Natural Restorations who I found to be clearly dedicated and noticeably committed to rehabilitating and preserving the natural beauty of our great state.  I look forward to working with them in the future."                                    Bob Benincasa, Volunteer

“Anyone looking for a “worthy cause” volunteer opportunity should check out Natural Restorations. A few hours can make a big difference. It’s great when you can help out with something and see immediate results. I’ve been impressed with just how much trash and garbage can be cleaned up, with even a small group of people, in just a few hours of time.  Kudos to Natural Restorations for their admirable undertaking to help keep our forests and recreational areas clean!”                                    Tracy Fleming, Volunteer

"Every clean up I have volunteered with I have felt an incredible sense of accomplishment. This most recent clean up was no exception! Just looking at the before and after pictures makes me realize HOW MUCH people dump in our beautiful state (over five tons worth), and that's not even all of it! Our state NEEDS Natural Restorations."              Shawna Ketcherside, Volunteer

“So much of what happens to the public land—fire, invasive plants, landscape-scale disturbances—is irreversible, at least in our lifetimes.  But as ugly as these trash piles are, they can be cleaned up, and it doesn’t take an act of Congress, or a massive mobilization of bureaucracy, or a huge amount of money.  A dedicated coordinator and a group of volunteers can make an immediate visible impact on the public land in a few hours.  You just have to do it.  And it makes you feel really good.”     Shawn Redfield, ATA Trail Director & Volunteer

I was really impressed by the amount of junk we removed. The amount of trash picked up and still left behind is shocking. I hope that through Natural Restorations people who love the outdoors in Arizona will lend a hand in cleaning it up.”                                                    Julie Boston, Volunteer

Thank you for your efforts in putting this event together! Arizona National Scenic Trail users as well as "locals" that recreate in this area are the beneficiaries."        Bruce Belman, Volunteer and Steward for Segment 32a
