Lower Salt River Cleanup with The Sleepy Whale & Beer Barn
We teamed up with The Sleepy Whale & Beer Barn for a trash cleanup at Water Users Recreation Area along the Lower Salt River. 13 volunteers spent the morning with us picking up scattered trash and micro trash as they explored the Lower Salt River.
Volunteers helped us remove 246.6 pounds of trash! We found glass & plastic bottles, cans, plastic & styrofoam cups, straws, wrappers, aluminum foil, broken glass, cigarette butts, bottle tops, pieces of plastic, fishing line, Capri Sun pouches, straws & straw wrappers, kids toys, McDonald’s bags & food wrappers, clothes, shoes & flip flops, a pair of glasses, a camp chair, a football, parts of a metal table, & much more!
