02/04/23 Lower Salt River Tree Planting with Ecoculture

On Saturday, February 4th, 2023, we teamed up with Ecoculture for a Lower Salt River Tree Planting Event. It was a gorgeous day for 176 volunteers, including 28 youth volunteers, to help us plant 22,800 Gooding’s Willows along the banks of the Lower Salt River. Check out all of the event photos below.

Thank you so much to Justin & Jacob from Ecoculture for asking us to be a part of this event! We started our Replanting Program working on their Lower Salt River Restoration Project in November 2020, January 2021 & March 2021. We loved being able to bring our teams together again for this event!

In addition to Ecoculture, thank you to all of the event partners; the U.S. Forest Service Tonto National Forest, the National Forest Foundation, Audubon Southwest, the Arizona Department of Forestry & Fire Management, Intel, & Arizona Game & Fish Department. Thank you to everyone from the U.S. Forest Service Tonto National Forest for all of your help with the tree planting and replanting several saguaro cacti someone kicked over at the river!
