02/16/19 3rd Annual Lower Salt River land & water Cleanup Project
We hosted our 3rd Annual Lower Salt River Land & Water Cleanup with OdySea Aquarium & Tru Flask at Coon Bluff over President’s Day Weekend on Saturday, February 16, 2019. 278 volunteers, including 80 youth volunteers helped us remove 2.24 tons of trash, that’s 4,480 pounds!
Arizona Outback Adventures and Redline Rentals & Sales teamed up with us to bring tandem and single kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and guides out for volunteers to help us remove trash from the river and ferry trash bags across the river and over to the dumpster donated by American Way Smokehouse & Bakery.
We would like to thank the following organizations for their support of this event:
American Rivers, American Way Smokehouse & Bakery, Arizona Outback Adventures, Bass Pro Shops in Mesa, CopperPoint Insurance Companies, Desert Monsters Tours, Friends of the Tonto, Garland Signs & Specialties, Matt & his team at The Home Depot in NE Mesa off McKellips & Power, ICON Vehicle Dynamics, J.
