03/27/26 Lower Salt River Cleanup with Visit Mesa
On Friday, March 27th, 2026, we hosted a Lower Salt River Cleanup at Phon D Sutton Recreation Area with Visit Mesa for a fantastic group of volunteers from Visit Mesa, Double Tree by Hilton in Mesa, Hapi Agency, & Sheraton Mesa Hotel at Wrigleyville West for a trash cleanup on the Tonto National Forest.
Volunteers hiked & explored Phon D Sutton Recreation Area along the Lower Salt River picking up scattered trash, cans, bottles, hats, blankets, towels, clothing, shoes, and lots of micro trash, like cigarette butts, bottle tops, fishing line, confetti, toothpick flossers, pieces of wrappers, glass, and more.
Volunteers helped us remove 56 pounds of trash from the area. Thanks again to everyone at for helping us make a positive impact on the Lower Salt River! Thank you to Visit Mesa for making an impact on our overall mission through your Sponsorship!
