09/01/18 Doce Pit Cleanup

Prescott National Forest

Natural Restorations collaborated with the Prescott National Forest Service to host a Doce Pit Cleanup on Saturday, September 1st. 117 volunteers started their Labor Day holiday weekend by coming out to help us make an immediate, visible impact on this part of the Prescott National Forest. Together we removed 7.95 tons of trash, that’s 15,900 pounds of trash no longer littering this area! We brought members of the target shooting, 4-Wheel Drive, OHV, hiking, and other outdoor recreation communities together to help restore the area. Thank you to all of the volunteers for helping us make a significant impact on this area!

As the cleanup wrapped up, volunteers were treated to an amazing BBQ lunch from Big Daddy E's Smokin' BBQ from Chino Valley. Thank you to everyone at Big Daddy E's for coming out to Doce Pit Road on a holiday weekend to help us show volunteers how much their hard work is appreciated. During lunch, we gave away gear from Nichols Autofab, and Mr. Target held an amazing giveaway where one lucky volunteer won a self-healing LE Training Target and all of the volunteers in attendance received a coupon code for big discounts from Mr. Target online. Please check out Mr. Target for a super fun and clean way to target shoot without leaving any trash behind.

We would like to thank everyone at Davidson's Inc. and Gallery of Guns in Prescott for being the main sponsors of this event. This project was also possible due to support from Big Daddy E's Smokin BBQ in Chino Valley, Mr Target, Nichols Autofab, Summit Jeep Company, Underdog Towing & Recovery, Prescott Tire Pros, Wrecked Gear, Rhys and his team from The Home Depot in Prescott of Hwy 69, everyone at the U.S. Forest Service - Prescott National Forest, Walmart in Prescott off Gale Gardner Way, CopperPoint Insurance, Desert Monsters Tours, Extreme Terrain, Garland Signs & Specialties in Chandler, Icon Vehicle Dynamics, LeBaron & Carroll LLC, OdySea Aquarium Foundation, and SRP. We cannot thank them enough for their support!
