lower salt river cleanup with military veterans
On Saturday, May 17th, 2025, we hosted our 1st event specifically for military veterans! We floated from Water Users to Phon D Sutton Recreation Area & removed 194 pounds of trash from the river! We had a great time floating the river, picking up trash, getting to know each other, sharing stories, & enjoying nature!
This event was made possible through a Veterans Grant from the U.S. Forest Service. We are grateful for the opportunity to bring veterans together for an impactful day on the river! Our hope with this event was to help local veterans expand their community, make new friends, & have a great morning making a difference on the river.
Thank you to No Snow Standup Paddleboards for donating equipment to veterans who didn’t have their own! We are grateful for how quickly they jumped on board make this happen for veterans!
We would also like to recognize our Sponsors for helping make events like this today: AC Infinity, Arizona Wholesale Growers, AZ 4Runner Outsiders, Arizona Toy Pros, Arizona Plasma, Arizona Rock Products Association, Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co., Beer Barn, Desert Monsters Tours, Icon Vehicle Dynamics, Illuminated Funds Group, Native Resources, Nitro Gear & Axle, No Snow Standup Paddleboards, OdySea Aquarium, Resolution Copper, Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch, Salty Scuba Squad, Salt River Project, State 48 Overland, Stellar Adventures, Victory 4x4, Visit Mesa, Wild West Off-Road Recovery, & Yamaha Outdoor Access Initiative.
