lower salt river cleanup with military veterans
On Saturday, July 12th, 2025, we hosted our 2nd event specifically for military veterans! Veterans & their guests joined us as we from Pebble Beach to Goldfield Recreation Area, removing 133.41 pounds of trash from the river! We had a great time floating the river, getting to know each other, sharing stories, picking up trash, diving for trash, seeing the Salt River Wild Horses, & enjoying nature!
This event was made possible through a Veterans Grant from the U.S. Forest Service. We are grateful for the opportunity to bring veterans together for an impactful day on the river! Our hope with this event was to help local veterans expand their community, make new friends, & have a great morning making a difference on the river.
Thank you to No Snow Standup Paddleboards for donating equipment to veterans who didn’t have their own! We are grateful for how quickly they jumped on board to help with our 4 veteran river cleanup events! They also helped us in a huge way by delivering & picking up equipment from us so that our trailer didn’t get boxed in like it did during our first event.

Thank you, Salt River Tubing, for taking our trash bags at Goldfield! Their awesome teams are constantly picking up trash from the river, emptying the garbage cans they place along the river, & supporting our cleanup efforts!
