4th annual Green Friday Lower Salt River Cleanup
The day after Thanksgiving, we hosted our 5th annual Green Friday Cleanup with REI Co-op along the Lower Salt River Cleanup at Sheeps Crossing Recreation Area and Bulldog Canyon at the Usery Pass & Bush Highway/Blue Point entrances.
164 volunteers, including 36 youth volunteers, helped us remove 2,080 pounds of trash (1.04 tons).
Green Friday is our way of thinking differently about the day after Thanksgiving; it’s a chance to celebrate the connection between people & outdoor spaces in their community, inspire environmental stewardship, & encourage use of outdoor spaces for education, recreation, & general health.

on November 5th, WE TEAMED UP WITH FOUR PEAKS BREWING CO., THE NATIONAL FOREST FOUNDATION, AND THE TONTO NATIONAL FOREST SERVICE FOR THE 13TH ANNUAL FOUR PEAKS CLEANUP & 3RD ANNUAL SAVE OUR SAGUAROS REPLANTING EVENT.
222 VOLUNTEERS HELPED US REMOVE 8,120 POUNDS OF TRASH, PLANTED 127 NATIVE DESERT CACTI IN THE BUSH FIRE BURN SCAR, AND REMOVED HUNDREDS OF BUNDLES OF INVASIVE BUFFEL GRASS.

In March, our Dedicated Restoration Team removed 18,200 pounds (9.1 tons) of trash and removed & recycled 130 tires from the Rainbow Valley OHV Area on Arizona State Trust Land.
